Jr Giants

With living so close to San Fransisco, we see a lot of San Fransisco Giants (baseball) fans.  Well, that and the Oakland Raiders (football-Dad is so proud:).

When we first started researching this area, before we took the job here, one of the first things that popped up was that the Giants provided free summer baseball programs.  I was all over that!  Playing sports is so expensive.  Whether you go through the city or YMCA or some league, it is always at least $50.00 and you only get to play 5 or 6 games.  Kinda frustrating when you have 3 boys that all want to be in sports.

With Levi wanting to try baseball and Brigham LOVING baseball, this was a perfect idea.  I have to say I am extremely impressed with the Jr Giants program.  It is the typical few games and non competitive games that we have been involved with in the past but this one involves much more practicing.  It also involves incentives for the children if they read, learn about anti bullying, and eat healthy.  Levi has already earned a wrist band (which you can tell from past pictures that he is really into wearing right now), ruler, notebook, binder, folder, and free game to an actual Giants game.  Brigham is pretty close to getting all those as well.  AND IT IS FREE!
