Snacks for Breakfast?

One morning Ruger came in to wake David and I up and he looked like this:
I asked him, "What's all over your face?"
He quickly replied, "I didn't have any snacks!"

She Believed She Could

"She believed she could, but she was really tired so she didn't."

This shirt really fits me right now.  I have both A and B flu.  My mind is active but my body is tired.  David has me back here in the bedroom so I can rest but my mind wants to get things done!
But before the sickness hit, I was able to see these girls!  I literally felt the first signs of my body aching just after I left the get together that we had.  They always make me feel so good, so maybe that is why I didn't feel sick when I was with them.
After saying goodbye to my friends, I met another one at a restaurant for dinner.  We wanted to say goodbye before I had to move.  Saying goodbye. to friends that have been in my life for years and a friend who was more recent, can be hard.  But no tears were shed as I just enjoyed them all.

I'm tired but my mind is active as I recall the blessings of friendship while we have been living here in Oklahoma.  I'm reminded of how much the Lord loves me because he sent me my friends in my darkest hours during the past year.  I hope that in the future, I look at these friends and remember just that.

Happy Valentines Day, My Love!

I'm not feeling that well and I'm super tired so I'm going to keep this short and simple.

I love him.  He loves me.

It's pretty simple, really.

And I'm thankful.

Super Bowl, Shmooper Bowl

Today is just another Sunday.  Though some would argue it is important because it is Super Bowl Sunday.  I could care less, which is kinda funny coming from an old elementary, middle school and high school cheerleader!  But even though football is not my thing, we still celebrate in a little way.  It's really just an excuse for my family to buy a lot of junk food on Saturday to splurge on Sunday.

Awww, a picture of the 2 who could care the least about the game today.

Instead of talking about all this football stuff, I'd rather talk about how cute my 2 oldest sons are.

Or Levi learning to drive.

Or how smart my husband was to put 2 of Levi's favorite kinds of pops in a parking lot and making Levi parallel park between them.  If he didn't run over them, he got 2 free pops!

Or how dangerously cute this one is in a tree.  You can see the park equipment in the background.  And that is Ruger for you.  He would rather be climbing a tree or throwing rocks than spending the majority of his play time on the equipment.

Yeah, my opinion hasn't changed.  These little guys (and not so little guys really!) are way more interesting than that darn Super Bowl thing.
