Snow Canyon State Park

The last place we visited was Snow Canyon State Park.  We hiked in 2 different spots in the park but our favorite was Jenny's Slot Canyon.  It wasn't much of a hike to get to our destination but it was beautiful and entertaining.

I wouldn't want to live in St. George, because of the heat, but I sure do love visiting there.  Every time we go, we find something new.  It's such a unique area.

Stay-Cation?

I don't know if it is really considered a vacation if you are staying in the state you live in or not.  "Stay-Cation" maybe?  I don't know, but it felt very much like vacation to me!  It was 4 days away from home and full of exploring things.
I had a headache at one point and needed a nap so Daddy and the boys went to Tonaquint Park.  As Brigham put it, it was such a nice park that he was surprised it was free.

After I woke up, we went up to the Pioneer Park area and did some hiking.
And Levi about gave me a heart attack!  At one point, I told the boys that they just don't understand what it is like being the mother of adventurous boys.  Hyrum is afraid of heights, so not so much him, but when the other boys have a chance to climb things, they are all over it.  And my heart really does start to pump hard and I get anxious.  So I have a love/hate relationship with these types of hikes.

Goblin Valley State Park

This week is Spring Break for the boys so we decided to spend half of it in Goblin Valley State Park and the St. George area.
Can you see Brigham and Levi hiding in the back?

This is probably my favorite picture because its funny and tells a story.  Hyrum probably had the least amount of fun here at Goblin Valley and would run from shade to shade each time the rest of us got a little farther into the park.  It was funny watching him do this!

We spent a couple of hours there.  These pictures don't do justice on how really cool the area looks.  And the further back and around it you get the better it gets because less people are there, its shaded, and has an awesome constant wind.

Provo Beach

We have a wonderful ministering couple (The Jackson's) that got each of our family members an all day pass to Provo Beach for Christmas.  Sure, we waited until March to use it, but it worked out wonderfully as it turns out that our family needed it in March.  Provo Beach has many activities to participate in like bowling, a ropes course, croquet, arcade, laser tag, and more but most importantly YOU CAN SURF THERE!

We brought Leia with us and I'm so glad we did.  She is just so fun and easy to talk to and ADORABLE!

Hyrum's Angels

Hyrum has been having a hard time lately but I am a witness that when you ask for help, have faith, and wait, the Lord will provide angels in the flesh and blood to come and help rescue you.
Leia is one of his Earthly angels.  They met at church and they became fast friends.  Here they are at a dance recital she was performing in recently.
Another angel that came to the rescue was my Mom.  She was here within 24 hours of her knowing that we needed help.  She stayed with us for 2 weeks cooking us meals, watching Ruger when the rest of us had places we needed to be (or me doing homework!) and was my friend that I needed to get me out of my head when I wasn't handling it all very well.

There were other angels (and lets not forget Daddy who took off 2 weeks to be home with us.) that came to help our family because they love Hyrum so much.  Our church family was amazing.  Our neighbors were caring.  My friends from far away kept texting and keeping in constant contact to make sure we were ok.

So who ever is reading this.  There is one who will always love you.  And He will provide help if you ask, are patient, and willing to look with eyes that can see the good.
